Taming Kira

She could smell the deer just on the other side of the under growth she was hiding behind. Kira notched her arrow, and aimed at an old buck near the edge of the herd. She fired her arrow, and it lodged itself in its neck. The herd ran off as soon as the arrow hit the buck. Kire cautiously approached the buck, and pulled her arrow from it when she was sure it was dead. She was about to pick it up when she heard a twig snap to her right. "Who's there?!" she asked notching her bow and aiming at the treeline to her right.
